Set in 1995, the movie chronicles the disappearance of a hiker in the Oregon wilderness. While he is thought to be dead, many believe he may have fallen prey to "hills fever," a term used by the local indigenous people, who refer to it as "Face of the Wolf." The story then shifts to a young boy named Blake, who lives in isolation with his overbearing and abusive father, Grady, a survivalist. During a hunting trip, they narrowly escape an attack from a malevolent entity, establishing the tone for the narrative. Thirty years later, Blake resides in New York City with his wife, Charlotte, and their daughter, Ginger, who is on the cusp of her teenage years. Their relationship is troubled, but when Blake receives a letter announcing his father's death, the family travels to Oregon to settle his estate. What follows? Watch on Afdah.
